Oaks Equestrian Center

The Finest Equestrian Facilities

Centrally located on The Oaks property, the Equestrian Center grants daily access to competition-quality facilities for both the casual and competitive rider. Residents who board their horses at the main barn pay a monthly fee that includes unlimited use of these facilities. Equestrian lot owners may also use the facilities for a nominal fee. A highly-trained staff is on hand in the barn to assist with tacking, grooming, and other needs. Constructed with cutting-edge materials, superior quality, and consideration of the environment, the facilities, designed by the award-winning company Equestrian Services LLC, set the standard for excellence in the industry.

Barn
The barn houses 33 stalls with state-of-the-art features, including custom sliding gates, rotating feeders, no-slip padded flooring, waterers with consumption meters, and emergency exits from the stalls to the pasture. The accommodations are spacious, with separate stations for washing, grooming, and farrier and veterinary needs; rooms for hay, feed, and tacking; and a revolving tack wall for instructional clinics. Every detail of the barn is equine-specific, from the non-freezing, slip-resistant rubber flooring to the ventilation and daylight-quality lighting. Owners have access to air-conditioned tack lockers and the adjoining lounge, restrooms, and facility office.

Practice Arenas
English riders have a choice of two arenas — a 120' x 225' covered arena with Pinnacle polymer-infused, dust-free footing and a 120' x 255' foot outdoor arena with Micro Supreme footing. The Pinnacle footing in the covered arena is also ideal for many aspects of Western riding. Western riders can also practice barrel racing, mounted shooting, reining, and other events in the larger 150' x 300' outdoor arena that has footing custom-tailored for these disciplines. Onlookers have a comfortable seat in an indoor viewing lounge with restrooms, televisions, and large glass windows facing the covered arena. An adjacent covered round pen is equipped with everything needed for training horses and developing horsemanship.

Cross-Country Course
Spanning 15 acres, the cross-country course at The Oaks is one of only a handful of courses custom-designed by three-time Olympic medalist David O’Connor. Additionally, the five Equestrian Recreation Areas around The Oaks property each have two to three cross-country jump attempts.

In addition to the Equestrian Center’s luxurious accommodations, its views are unparalleled in beauty. Every practice area is surrounded on all sides by picturesque pastures shaded by mature oak trees.
